The PNC got to have a Zoom meeting with our youth to discuss their wishes for our next Rec pastor. The whole team was so impressed by the insights and thoughtfulness of the group. The following are a few highlights. Youth said they want someone to help people answer questions about their faith, help them to understand their beliefs and help both youth and adults feel they are in a safe place. They want a pastor who delivers engaging sermons and who is both inclusive and can add new things to conversations. They want a pastor who is an advocate for people who may feel powerless. The youth would also like the new pastor to get to know them as youth and be involved in their activities in and outside church. Thanks to our amazing youth for sharing with us!
