Recognizing the enormity of the challenges our society faces, Church of Reconciliation, PC(USA) is dedicated to making a lasting impact through our campaigns and programs. While our efforts are driven by our organization’s singular focus, we spread a wide net by investing in a variety of progressive strategies. Learn more about our initiatives and get involved yourself.
When we can meet regularly once again, children will meet in the Education Building at 9:45 am for a time of learning and fellowship. Each week we explore a new way to bring the Scripture to life through:
We are always encouraging creativity and expressing how we hear the Scripture though art. Sculpture, painting, drama, and more are explored.
Hearing the Scripture and connecting it with movement brings the story to life.
Telling the Bible story through objects we can hold in our hands and watch illustrate the story before our eyes helps us wonder. We tell the story just as it is in the Bible and allow ourselves to think about how those in the story felt or how the stories are still relevant in our lives.
Learning about our community here in Chapel Hill and beyond helps us see needs and find ways that children can be change makers. We spend time learning about the world around us and how we can be God’s hands and feet in the world.
These along with science, music, and so much more we embrace creativity and learning in a diverse and fun environment.
We are currently not meeting in person but are still engaging in the life of the church. Please click here for our Google Classroom where you will find many resources like:

Youth Sunday school
At Church of Reconciliation, we aren’t preparing our youth to become leaders, they already are. We recognize their gifts and their voice. Our programming provides them a safe space to be who they are right here and right now. Our adults know their value and are there to listen and to create relationships that will sustain as they grow in their faith. We encourage our youth to be genuinely themselves as God made them.
Our youth are passionate about social justice, equality, and the environment. We work hard to lift their voices up and share their passion with the community. We value our youth.
If you have any questions about youth and youth programming, please contact Karen Miller email@example.com
Our normal Sunday school schedule is to meet Sunday mornings in the youth room in the Education Building at 9:45 am. Our curriculum is decided on by the youth and their interests and we engage in lively discussion about the Bible and how it relates to them and their lives.
Youth Sunday school currently meets online Sundays from 3:15- 5 pm where we talk about the Scripture of the day, pray together and play some games. If you would like to join us, please contact Karen Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org.
